SILVERTWIN SAVIOUR

‘Saviour’ is a breath of fresh air in the form of a retro single. Silvertwin have really pulled something special out of the bag here, hitting us with choppy, funky guitar chords, Ben Folds-esque piano vamps and perfectly balanced melodies. We wander through thick cinematic textures with the ease of bands like ELO and Supertramp, with the unique sound of Silvertwin still somehow gelling the throwback feeling together. Just one small insight into the track’s unique sound comes from main-man Isaac Shalam: “The guitar solo was going through a unique 1950s tube console, which was not intended for guitars but gave it a distinctive sound which we loved.” Be on the lookout for the band’s self-titled debut album when it drops on July 16th, 2021. -Dan Peeke
